There are plenty of people in Lincolnshire and across the country that feel the traditional media do not speak for them. 1201 is there to represent those unheard voices, we feel there is a place for a radical Left-Wing narrative in our county and this Blog is the starting point for achieving that. By offering a viable alternative that gives people real hope we can transform our communities together.
The important thing about this project is that its led by ordinary people from all walks of life that share our vision. We are not professional journalists but we are all passionate for change. Bradley Allsop, Co-editor
Bradley is a co-founder of Blog 1201, works for a Students’ Union and is finishing off his PhD studying youth political engagement. He’s a keen gamer, sci-fi reader and cooks a mean thai curry!
Callum Roper, Co-editor
Callum is a co-founder at Blog 1201, Politics student at the University of Lincoln and an activist in the Labour Party. He is also a football fan, train nerd and amateur photographer.
Calum Watt, Co-editor
Calum is Co-Vice Chair of Lincoln Labour Party, a socialist, trade unionist, sometime local election candidate, former bartender and University of Lincoln alumni. He previously worked as a Caseworker for the Shadow Minister for Fire, Karen Lee, and currently works for UNISON, the UK’s largest public sector union. His views are his own.
Oli Walwyn, Co-editor
Oli is a Photography Graduate and Digital Marketer interested in journalism and passionate about the environment. He’s also a keen motorcyclist and musician (drums, piano and guitar).
